LUCA MODONI

From an early age, I had a great love for mountains and, at the age of 14, I started climbing, first in crags/cliffs and then in competition.

I participated in regional and national events (with a victory in the youth leagues), a youth edition of the European Cup and two editions of the World Junior Championships. I also graduated as a climbing instructor and route setter. Today, despite having abandoned the competition, climbing remains my great passion.

For two years, I also practiced Parkour, a sport that unfortunately stresses a lot the joints and gave me strong back pain. For this reason, in 2003, I started practicing Master Bruno Baleotti's Yoga and, considering the amazing improvements in my physical problems, in 2007 I started to train to become a teacher.

I graduated in 2013, and participated in the Parinama school event at the Martial Arts World Championship in San Marino, just before leaving for France.

In Italy, while I was working as a craftsman, I did not have the opportunity to personally organize long-term courses, but I replaced other teachers for longer or shorter periods.

During these experiences, I found the same passion with which I have always taught climbing.

Knowledge of the body and physiology of training acquired during the years of competition are also very useful for teaching Yoga. In addition, I firmly believe that Yoga Parinama is not “only” useful to maintain or restore the proper balance of our body, but is an essential tool to avoid the risk of trauma and increase the level of performance in all sports, both physically and mentally.

For these reasons that I decided to devote myself full time to teaching Yoga and arrived in France, where my wife and I opened our first yoga room in Fontainebleau.
